We understand that the economic efficiency and environmental safety of "UZVTORTSVETMET" JSC’s operations can only be achieved through a comprehensive, systematic approach to regulating nature management and environmental protection. This approach considers the need to preserve Uzbekistan's natural potential, ensure the reproduction of natural resources, develop production, and implement the best existing technologies. Recognizing the scale and complexity of the environmental challenges facing the enterprise, "UZVTORTSVETMET" JSC consistently reduces and prevents environmental impacts arising from its production activities. The management of "UZVTORTSVETMET" JSC regards environmental protection as an integral part of the plant's operations. The enterprise strives to contribute to the sustainable development of the Republic of Uzbekistan through strict compliance with environmental legislation, the rational use of natural resources, and the continuous improvement of its environmental activities. The strategy of "UZVTORTSVETMET" JSC in the field of industrial safety, labor protection, and the environment is to provide safe working conditions for employees, protect the health of personnel and the population living in the area of its operations, and maintain a favorable environment. The goals of the industrial and environmental safety policy are: Rational use of natural resources, including those involved in production and existing during plant operations, through the implementation of resource-saving and energy-efficient technologies; Consistent reduction of emissions and waste through the introduction of new progressive technologies, modernization of equipment and materials, and increasing the level of automation in technological process management; Continuous improvement of industrial safety and labor protection conditions, including increasing the reliability of technological equipment and ensuring its safe and accident-free operation; Ensuring the readiness of management bodies and plant employees for prompt actions to eliminate potential accidents and other emergencies; Reducing the technogenic load on the environment from newly commissioned facilities by improving the quality of pre-project and project documentation; Increasing the efficiency of production control, corporate oversight, and internal audits regarding compliance with legal requirements for industrial safety, labor protection, and environmental protection at facilities. The assessment of compliance with environmental legal requirements is carried out during the daily production activities of structural units (workshops and sections), as well as during internal environmental audits of regional branches. During such internal audits, an analysis of external inquiries and communications from state control and supervisory authorities is conducted. In general, the enterprise's activities are carried out within the framework of environmental standards established and agreed upon with state supervisory authorities, as provided by the environmental legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Should issues arise regarding environmental protection, goals and objectives are established, and appropriate measures are developed to eliminate deficiencies.
The production base of "UZVTORTSVETMET" JSC enables the execution of all technological processes for non-ferrous metal recycling—from raw material processing to the production of a wide range of high-quality alloys in accordance with domestic and international standards, as well as the customer's technical specifications.High product quality at all stages of production and processing is the top priority of the plant's activities! The metallurgical complex's equipment for primary raw material preparation and melting allows for the processing of all types of non-ferrous metal scrap and waste—motor and deformed scrap, shavings, cans, and slag. To date, 8 workshops and 2 sections are in operation. In 2002, a modern production line for copper-based alloys, unparalleled in Central Asia, was commissioned. The installation of an "INDUCTOTHERM" (Germany) induction crucible furnace—from the world's largest manufacturer of induction melting equipment—allows for the melting of non-ferrous metal raw materials while preserving their chemical properties and outputting molten metal without mixing different metallic alloys.Additionally, the aluminum scrap remelting furnace has been updated. The production capacity of this imported furnace is approximately 10,000 tons per year. The advantages of its installation include savings in time, fuel, and electricity consumed during the melting process. The aluminum processing equipment belongs to the class of melting units for remelting secondary aluminum scrap and aluminum alloy waste into ingots and pigs. A reverberatory furnace for aluminum alloys, a large-scale universal shredder, a crushed iron granulator, and plasma cutting devices have been installed. The reverberatory furnace can be used for refining, alloying, and averaging chemical compositions. It is equipped with a modern thyristor control unit, allowing the melt temperature to be maintained with an accuracy of $1 ^\circ \text{C}$, along with temperature sensors. A distinctive feature of the installed furnace is its excellent thermotechnical properties. The plant takes pride in its technologies for recycling spent lead-acid batteries—the primary source of secondary lead. Due to their complex composition, obsolete electronic products and devices are recycled to a very limited extent and often end up in landfills worldwide. Modern lead batteries contain several components suitable for recycling, the most important of which are lead-based alloys, the metal itself, its dioxide, and polypropylene. Since 2005, the enterprise has utilized a complex of equipment for the mechanized separation of lead batteries with automatic regulation of technological parameters. The main components of these units are crushers, hydrodynamic separators, and classifiers of various designs. The capacity of such units ranges from 5 to 50 tons of batteries per hour.Furthermore, three small reverberatory furnaces have been built and commissioned for the production of value-added products (enameled wires, batteries, aluminum cathodes, etc.). The presence of an on-site laboratory equipped with modern "SPECTROLAB" (Germany) spectral equipment allows for the production of competitive products and high-precision chemical analysis of non-ferrous metal alloys in accordance with international standards and GOST standards of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The comprehensive laboratory setup includes analytical equipment, chemical reagents, and laboratory glassware. A vast array of standard reference materials allows the equipment to be calibrated to monitor almost any alloy. Throughout the melting process, continuous rapid-control (express analysis) of the liquid metal's chemical composition is maintained.Effective modified fluxes and alloying components are used during production; the manufactured alloys undergo degassing and filtration through foam-ceramic filters, resulting in high-purity alloys that fully meet customer requirements. In recent years, all plant technologies have been completely renewed and modernized, significantly improving their efficiency. The plant’s specialists are conducting extensive work to resolve atmospheric pollution issues, implement zero-waste technologies, and ensure the rational use of energy resources. Additionally, reconstruction and modernization efforts continue through the purchase and installation of modern energy-saving technologies and equipment, technical re-equipment of production, and enhancement of employee skills. The high level of professionalism, combined with modern equipment from Russia, Germany, the USA, Japan, India, and Spain, allows "UZVTORTSVETMET" JSC to achieve superior product quality. All types of manufactured products are certified.
